Technical Journal on Green Screen (week 4)

Now I am keep trying to work on full body green screen shot. Everything is fine as usual except how to get a clear shadow matte for it. Firstly, I tried to get a clear green screen background by using techniques what I mentioned last week. Yes, I got a clear green screen for it as below. (A to B)

(A)

                                                                              (B)

But, the shadows were gone. So, I was finding the best way to solve it out. Should I use a copy of this footage by flipping upside down to make a fake shadow for them? This is the first thing what I think to solve. However, it will be a bit troublesome to fit in.

Secondly, I tried to duplicate another layer of original footage and adjusting matte by focusing on shadows. And then multiply this layer over original footage. This one is much more better I think. And then, what else? Another problem is here: triangle keys on green screen background for tracking. I need to key out all of these points for finalize shot. Basically we need to roto out these two guys to clear all the spots on background. All the messy spots behind make it ugly. On the other hand, rotoing long hair in AE is a bit tricky though. So, how I solve is? it's here: eraser tool in AE is my lovely helpful tool. I erase out all the trash behind. However, I need to key on eraser tool for some frames to avoid cutting out what I need in this scene.

This is my final outcome for now.

I still need to work on color correction and adjusting some parts of edges to match with background. But for now, I will stop here and try it later on.
